If you want an equine vet you can genuinely trust, I couldn’t recommend Victor Franco more highly. Victor has cared for the Hills family horses for many years and has become not only our trusted vet, but a valued friend to our family and our equines. His experience, judgement and ability with complex lameness and difficult veterinary cases are exceptional.

Robbie is perhaps the best testament to that. Despite developing bilateral lameness, tendon problems and arthritis from a relatively young age, with conditions that compounded over the years, Victor’s careful management, regular checks, joint medication and experienced guidance helped keep Robbie comfortable, active and doing what he loved……. and what a life he has had. Robbie went on to give around a decade to voluntary mounted police work with Suffolk Police, undertaking community and countryside patrols, supporting BHS road-safety campaigns, receiving BHS recognition and awards, appearing on BBC Crimewatch, fundreaising and helping promote horse and rider safety within our community. Those years and achievements are incredibly special to us, and I genuinely don’t believe much of it would have been possible without Victor behind us.

He has been equally exceptional with our other horses, from helping Albert through a frightening case of peritonitis to routine care and safety castrating our youngsters at home over the years.

When something isn’t straightforward, Victor is the person I want beside my horse. I trust his judgement, his experience and, importantly, his hands completely.

Victor ALWAYS puts horses and pony’s first. We trust Victor with all our donkeys, riding school horses, full livery clients competition horses, he is always there for them all. Caring and professional is how I would describe Victor. Without this man, my little cob Alfie would not have survived. He become so unwell, and for a week, this man went above and beyond to help him.
